Admission requirements and accommodation in South Korea?
My name is Tyla-Jane,
I come from South Africa and I would like to take the next step and study in South Korea. I would like o know about the average admission requirements to study at a college or national university in South Korea.
The next question that I have is regarding accommodation; Will dormitories be made available for international students or will we have to pay a fee for it?
Thank you very much for your time.

It is impossible to generalize about admission requirements, they depend on which university and which program you are applying for. Most international students that go to Korea start out by studying Korean language. It is easy to get accepted to the language courses, but in order for the school to sponsor a student visa you must have graduated from high school and be able to prove that you have enough funding to pay for your course and living expenses.
If you want to apply for an undergraduate program your previous studies and grades will be important and you will need to prove that your language skills are good enough. We have partners who can help you apply to selected universities in Seoul. Fill out our information request form if you want help.
International students usually have the option to stay in the university dormitories during their first semester. However, nothing is free in this world. You would will need to pay for your accommodation whether you live on-campus or off-campus.
