How old does one have to be to study in Japan?
How old does one have to be to become a Japanese transfer student.Asked by: Lance, 2 years ago
Answer:
If you want to transfer to a university in Japan the main criteria is to be enrolled and have studied at least one year at a university in your home country. We cannot help you with university transfers to Japan. We can help you with Japanese Language Courses at Japanese Language Schools all over Japan and Undergraduate and Graduate programs at selected Japanese Universities.
To be able to get a student visa to Japan you must have graduated from High School (completed at least 12 years of school) in your home country which usually means that you are at least 18 years old. If you are younger than that you could take a shorter language course on a tourist visa which we can help you with. You could also do a high school year in Japan, but that is nothing we can help you with.
