The prerequisites vary between different schools and courses. For example, to take a Diploma of Business at Kaplan Business School in Australia you would need to:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have succesfully completed year 12 or equivalent schooling or Certificate IV or equivalent.
- Fullfill the schools English requirements TOEFL IBT 46 or Academic IELTS 5.5 Overall with no individual band score below 5.0
- Mature age entry (over 21 years of age) can be made without minimum educational requirements. However, applicants are required to demonstrate capacity to meet course requirements, normally, through interview with the School.
- Prove that you have enough money to pay for your tuition fee and living costs, and that your main purpose is to study, so you can get a student visa.
