Industry Standard Kit
Students have access to industry-standard kit, equipment and production technology both inside and outside of class. Full Motion Capture technology and Virtual Production Facilities have recently been installed in our two main studios. We have a range of cameras for students to use, including the Blackmagic 4K Cinema Camera and the Arri Alexa. Our post-production facilities were also updated in 2023 with a Hero suite, Colour grading suite, Animation booth, Dialogue Recording and Mixing Studio, as well as 20 Mac Mini M1 computers with dual screen monitors. 

Our Courses

Integrated Foundation Year
Delve into the fundamental concepts and skills of filmmaking, screenwriting, and acting. You will master the essential skills needed for film preproduction, production, and post-production, along with the theoretical and practical principles that form the foundation of professional filmmakers and writers. 

BA (Hons) Practical Filmmaking
Students acquire practical skills across various disciplines, while also having the opportunity to specialise in their area of interest. The specialisation areas encompass producing, cinematography, directing, production design, editing, and sound. 

BA (Hons) Screenwriting
This course is designed to equip screenwriters with the necessary tools for a successful career. Students refine their writing style, craft step outlines, treatments, and scripts for film, television, and interactive media.

BA (Hons) Acting For Screen
Taught by industry professionals, you’ll learn textual analysis, physical expression, voice, and collaboration skills. You will cultivate your own performance style and voice through classic and original scripts.

BA (Hons) Post-Production & VFX (Subject to Validation)
This programme focuses on post-production editing, sound recording and mixing, visual effects (including 3D animation), and managing workflows.

MA Filmmaking
Develop your technical proficiency while focusing on a specialised area. Choose from specialisms including producing, directing, cinematography, sound, editing, and factual filmmaking. 

MA Screenwriting (Online)
This programme equips you with the essential skills to write, develop, and pitch screenplays.

MA Virtual Production (Subject to Validation)
Explore and utilise a range of VR software, including VR painting, 3D modelling and environment design, 360-degree video capture, and games development.
