Shanghai University (SHU) is located at the heart of Shanghai, China, and gained its current form in 1994 after four different universities in Shanghai merged. All four of them being leaders in their respective fields of expertise made SHU the remarkable institution it is today. China Studies Program
The China Studies Program introduces you to the Chinese language, business, culture, foreign relations, trade and more. The goal of the program is to give you a basic overview of the Chinese language and culture, the special features of Chinese economy and business, and what has made China the global powerhouse it is today.

- Chinese Business and Enterprise (5 ECTS)
- Chinese Culture (5 ECTS)
- Foreign Relations of China (5 ECTS)
- Intercultural Business Communication (5 ECTS)
- Chinese Foreign Trade (5 ECTS)
- Social Changes in Contemporary China (5 ECTS)
- Introduction to the Chinese Economy (5 ECTS)
- China’s Evolving Financial System (5 ECTS)
- E-commerce (5 ECTS)
- Marketing Strategy (5 ECTS)
- Finance (5 ECTS)
- Chinese Language (5 ECTS) (beginner level and intermediate level available)
A course will be arranged if a minimum of 10 students enrolls. This applies to all courses, including the language courses. All courses are Bachelor’s level courses.
All classes will be recorded and you will be able to access them anytime. It is still recommended to attend the online classes if you can.
