Bethany Lutheran College provides Christian higher education in a challenging academic environment where personal mentoring guides students to pursue knowledge, truth, and discernment for productive and fulfilling lives. Students at Bethany come from a variety of religious backgrounds. While many Bethany students are Christian, Bethany also accepts students who come from other religious backgrounds, as well as students who aren't religious.

ESports: Bethany Lutheran College is at the forefront of collegiate esports in the midwest. We are proud to be the first and premiere collegiate esports program in Minnesota. Bethany seeks top level gamers in League of Legends, Valorant, Rocket League, Overwatch 2 and Super Smash Bros.

Clay Target: Bethany's new Clay Target finished 1st place in its first two seasons.
Intramural Sports: Getting involved with intramurals is a great form of recreation that promotes both social and competitive on-campus sports activities.
Music: A rich tradition in music is reflected in the number of activities available for student participation. Four choral groups, four bands, a chamber orchestra, and a hand bell choir offer group musical experiences. Vocal and instrumental lessons offer opportunities for individual advancement.
Theatre: Every Bethany student has the opportunity to audition for an acting role or to join a production crew. The theatre department produces several performances each year, giving many students a chance to perform on stage or work in the various technical aspects of theater, including set building, scene painting, lighting, sound, costumes, make-up, box office, publicity, running crews, and stage managing.
Speech: The speech team competes in an average of 25 tournaments throughout the school year and has traveled across the country and internationally to compete.
Student Senate: The purpose of the Student Senate is to represent the students in all matters of concern to the student body and to serve as a liaison between the students, faculty, staff and administration. It is actively involved in sponsoring a variety of social activities and convocations.
Student Life
Bethany is located in the attractive and safe community of Mankato, Minnesota, and sits on top of a large hill overlooking the downtown and the Minnesota River. Our beautiful campus includes modern academic buildings, well-maintained dormitories, tall trees, and excellent athletic facilities for all students. The city of Mankato is located 75 minutes south of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport (MSP). New students arriving for the first time are provided free transportation to Bethany.
Residence Halls: With approximately 67% of our students living on campus, you’ll find that residential life at Bethany is an essential part of a fulfilling collegiate experience. Living on campus is all about the people you meet and the time spent with friends both in and out of your dorms and apartments. Not only will you live close to other students, you’ll also live minutes away from the many campus resources that encourage academic success and provide opportunities for involvement. Our students maintain a strong sense of community that creates rewarding experiences you’ll remember for years afterwards.
Dining Center: The Dining Center, located in Old Main, is a buffet-style establishment that provides a wide selection of meal options including: a made-to-order grill, rotisserie station, a main buffet line with daily features, a salad bar, cereal bar, sandwich bar, pizza and soup stations, and multiple beverage dispensers. The predominant meal plan available to students grants continuous and unlimited daily access to the Dining Center.
Public Transportation: Mankato’s public bus system is low-cost and can take you where you need to go.
Shopping: Just a few blocks from campus, Madison Avenue features all the stores and restaurants you will need, including the River Hills Mall and nationwide banking options.
