Campus facilities and Accommodation
Kyoto University of Advanced Science has three libraries that not only house our impressive book collection but also provide students with a variety of effective study environments. Other on-campus facilities include a gym, a yoga room, a prayer room, and more. In Japan, university cafeterias are famous for providing students with good food at a reasonable price, and KUAS is no exception.
For housing, KUAS has created an International Student Dormitory exclusively for its engineering program students. The dormitory is connected to the South Engineering Building on Uzumasa Campus. The South Building features a 24-hour library and workshop, allowing students to pursue their studies whenever they wish. The dormitory houses Japanese and overseas students together, allowing its residents to deepen their understanding of a diverse range of cultures and values. Through this international exchange experience, students can cultivate themselves into global, ethical professionals who are capable of tackling complex issues with expert knowledge, multidisciplinary insight, creative thinking, and a panoramic perspective. A virtual tour of our South Building can be taken by clicking on the YouTube video to the right of this text.
