Why study at University of California Riverside (UCR)?

Study Abroad or study a Postgraduate Diploma
University Credit Program (UCP) : with the UCP, you can study as a visiting student for one (12 weeks) , two (24 weeks) or three quarters (36 weeks - one entire academic year) at UCR and earn academic credit towards your degree at your university. Both visiting undergraduate and postgraduate students are welcome. As a large research university with over 20,000, students you can choose from many areas of studies – from Art, Communications, Management, Education, Engineering, Computer and Science to Theatre and Music.
Postgraduate Diplomas (PGD) : if you already have a Bachelor degree - are you looking to specialize and prepare yourself for your future career? The PGD will give you the knowlegde and work experience you need to jump start your professional career. All the PGD's are 3 quarters in length (12 weeks per quarter). In the 1st quarter, you will begin your studies with six core management courses and then continue in the second quarter with a specialization in the area of your interest. Areas of specialization include: Digital Marketing, Big Data Technologies, Event Management, Project Management, Sports Management, Engineering Management, Bioengineering or Tourism Hospitality. In the 3rd quarter, all PGD students will do a 12 week guaranteed professional internship in the US.
OPT - work for one year in the US: After graduating from the PGD, you are eligible for paid employment in the US for up to 1 year through the OPT (Occupational Practical Training). Our Career Consultants will assist you in finding the perfect company to start your career in the US. Return home with a postgraduate diploma from a prestigious university, international work experience and the experience of living and working in California.

UCR is close to many of the famous destinations in Southern California, such as Los Angeles, Hollywood, Disneyland, San Diego, Las Vegas and Palm Springs. For nature lovers you will find Joshua Tree National Park, Big Bear Ski Resort, and the surf beaches of the Pacific Ocean around an hour away. In fact, southern California is one of the few places in the world where you can ski in the morning and surf in the afternoon.
If you like warm weather, UCR is a great choice. Winter? The average temperature in January is 20 C. With a Mediterranean climate you will enjoy over 300 sunny days per year.
