MEDICAL STUDIES IN GERMANY

STUDY PROGRAM
Studies at UMCH are divided into six academic years and begin annually in September/October. Each academic year consists of 28 weeks of instruction, each divided into two semesters. The first four semesters consist of two modules each and last a total of 14 weeks – starting with the 5th semester, the subdivision into modules is omitted. In the first two years, students complete the preclinical part of their studies, and from the third year on, the clinical part.
The preclinical part of the studies takes place mainly in Germany.
The first three years of study include only three modules of two weeks each, which are completed in Targu Mures,Romania.
The clinical part (3rd to 6th year of study) can be alternated between the Hamburg campus and the UMFST-UMCH Teaching Hospitals and Practices.

The 8.000 m² campus off ers students ultra- modern facilities and infrastructure – for example, multimedia lecture halls as well as excellently equipped learning
and IT rooms. All premises on campus are accessible barrier-free.
CUTTING EDGE MEDICAL TECHNOLOGY
UMCH provides cutting-edge medical technology – such as the most technologically advanced visualization system for illustrating anatomy (3D anatomy and
dissection table). All teaching rooms are equipped with several high-definition cameras, which among other features enables the future doctors to access study content,
such as recordings of lectures, independent of time and place.
