Academic Track Options
Through VISP you can choose from different academic track options depending on your goals. With over 5,000 courses taught each semester, there are countless options available at your fingertips.
Enroll in classes before you even buy your plane ticket! Course enrollment begins in April for the fall semester and November for spring
Traditional track students select from courses offered across our university's 160 departments. Depending on course availability, students can choose to focus on one or two academic areas or try courses in several departments to create the right schedule for them.
Thematic track participants receive additional academic advising support from the department, as well as the bulk of their courses guaranteed within that specific academic area. New tracks are added regularly, but current thematic track offerings include:
- Agricultural & Applied Economics
- Computer Sciences
- Educational Policy Studies
- Industrial & Systems Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Political Science
