Apollo is an independently owned school, which is run by its co-founders Steven O’Dwyer and Aoife Govern.
The Apollo Year-Round School is located in Dublin city centre in (Dublin 2) within 10 minutes’ walk to Grafton Street and St Stephen’s Green shopping areas. Lad Lane is a quiet street just off Baggot Street in the city’s central business district and we are located right next door to the European Headquarters of LinkedIn. There is an abundance of coffee shops, bars, restaurants and shops on our doorstep.
The school building had a full upgrade and renovation at the start of 2023 and consists of 3 floors with 15 classrooms all equipped with TV, iPad & audio-visual equipment. There is a modern & spacious cafeteria & outdoor area with self-service tea/coffee facilities. There are quiet study & lounge areas with wifi throughout & a game zone with arcade games for our students to enjoy! The building is serviced by an elevator and has a stylish & welcoming reception inside the front door.
Accommodation is offered in brand new city centre student apartments in single bedrooms with private bathrooms within walking distance of the school for students aged 18+ as well as host family accommodation located in the suburbs of Dublin for students aged 16+.
Our Real-World English course provides students with the skills and language necessary to be a competent user of English in a ‘real world’ context. We blend the use of a course book with student’s own needs to create an authentic setting to improve their language level.

IELTS Focus available for levels Intermediate to Advanced, consists of 20 hours per week focusing on improving students’ English as well as developing their exam techniques for the IELTS exam. At the end of each week, students will sit one part of an IELTS exam, under exam conditions.
‘The Apollo Experience’ continues outside your classes when you will visit the best attractions that Ireland has to offer and get involved in the Apollo Social Programme with our fantastic Student Experience staff.
There is never a dull moment in our activities programme,it takes place 6 days per week and can range from museum visits to weekend surfing trips.
Our Activity Manager visits the classes each day to inform the students of the activities for that week and answer any activity-related questions.The social programme is posted weekly on our Instagram story and Apollo App!
Most of our activities are free, but there is occasionally a small fee for some local visits or excursions which we will notify you of in advance.
We offer a social programme in the afternoon only so please choose the morning course to avail of Apollo Social in the afternoons.
